Electricity
Think of it like choosing your cell phone carrier. The big towers (delivery) stay the same, but you pick the company that gives you the best plan, price, and service for your needs.
Ambit Energy supplies the electricity you use and handles your competitive rate plan, billing, and customer support for the energy portion.
The physical delivery of electricity (power lines, meters, outages, etc.) is managed by your local utility — most commonly PG&E in Northern and Central California.
Natural Gas
Ambit provides natural gas service in many counties served by PG&E (highlighted in orange on the map).
These counties stretch from Humboldt County in the north to Santa Barbara County in the south, including major areas such as the Bay Area, Sacramento region, Central Valley, and parts of the Central Coast.
In these areas, Ambit can supply the natural gas, while PG&E continues to handle delivery through its infrastructure.
